How the calculation works
The tool parses a pasted HTTP status line and case-insensitive header names, then surfaces SEO-relevant fields such as Content-Type, X-Robots-Tag, Location and Cache-Control. It also performs a few structural checks, such as a redirect status without a Location header.
How to use the result
Use it when debugging crawling, indexation, redirects or file responses. X-Robots-Tag can control indexing outside HTML, while status and Location headers determine redirect behavior at the HTTP layer.
Assumptions and limitations
The checker does not request the live URL and cannot confirm what Googlebot receives, whether a CDN varies headers by user agent, or whether multiple response hops exist. It is a text parser, not a crawler.
