These are the prices displayed on Notion's US pricing page when checked on November 8, 2026. Notion lets you select monthly or yearly billing and says yearly billing can save up to 20%. The displayed per-member price is not a full invoice estimate. Add the number of paid seats, any paid guest or domain needs, taxes and AI credit use. What the Free plan includes

Free is useful for an individual who wants notes, pages, databases and a personal workspace. The pricing page says the plan limits collaborative blocks for workspaces with two or more members. That means a team may reach the limit while it is still building its first shared processes. Free file uploads are limited to 5 MB each, and page history goes back seven days. The external guest limit is 10.

Free includes a trial of Notion AI, basic forms, basic sites, Notion Calendar and databases with subtasks, dependencies and custom properties. It is a good way to learn the editor and check whether the team likes the page and database model. It should not be treated as a promise that every team workflow will remain free as membership and content grow.

What Plus adds

Plus is listed at US$10 per member/month. It adds collaborative blocks, custom forms, custom sites, charts and basic connections. File uploads can reach 5 GB each, and page history is 30 days. The plan still lists Notion AI as a limited trial rather than the full Business AI package.

For a team that mainly needs more room for shared pages, custom forms and charts, Plus may be enough. It is not the plan to choose only because you want Notion Agent or AI Meeting Notes. Those are listed under Business. If you publish a Notion site on a custom domain, the pricing page lists a separate domain charge of US$8 per month per domain with annual billing or US$10 per month per domain with monthly billing.

What Business adds

Business is listed at US$20 per member/month. It includes Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search beta. It also adds SAML single sign-on, private teamspaces, granular database permissions and premium connections. The pricing comparison lists 90 days of page history and 5 GB per-file uploads.

Business is the plan to review when Notion is becoming a shared operating space rather than a personal notebook. Private teamspaces help separate sensitive areas, and granular database permissions can limit a collaborator to rows assigned to them. The extra controls matter only if the workspace owner defines a clear access policy and checks it as teams change.

What Enterprise adds

Enterprise uses custom pricing. Notion lists zero data retention with its AI model providers, SCIM user provisioning, advanced security and controls, audit logs, domain management, security and compliance connections, workspace consolidation and a customer success manager. This plan is aimed at organizations that need admin controls across a larger workspace, not a small team that only wants more pages.

Notion AI and Custom Agent costs

Free and Plus list a limited Notion AI trial. Business and Enterprise include Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search beta. Custom Agents are a separate usage item: Notion's pricing page says they are free to try, then cost US$10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits. The credit dashboard is available to owners on Business and Enterprise plans.

Notion announced that new Business and Enterprise workspaces would move to the new credit system on October 19, 2026, and existing workspaces on November 2, 2026. As of November 8, 2026, teams should budget with the current system rather than an older AI add-on description. Check the Notion credits dashboard guide for usage and the release notes for the change announcement. Do not assume agent use is unlimited just because a plan includes Notion AI.

How to estimate a Notion budget

Start with paid members, not the number of pages. For 10 seats, the displayed Plus rate produces a base monthly equivalent of US$100, while Business produces US$200. These examples use the listed per-member prices and exclude taxes, custom domains, extra credits and any regional billing changes. The actual charge depends on the billing selector and contract terms.

Then list the work that may create extra costs. A team may need custom domains for public sites, Custom Agent credits, additional tools connected through a paid service, or a higher plan for private teamspaces and admin controls. Guests are external collaborators, but members are paid seats. Check the member and guest definitions before inviting a contractor with a company email address.

Which Notion plan should you choose?

  • Choose Free to learn the editor alone or run a small personal knowledge base.
  • Choose Plus when a small team needs more collaborative content, charts, custom forms and longer history.
  • Choose Business when Notion AI, private teamspaces, granular database permissions or SAML SSO are required.
  • Talk to Enterprise sales when you need SCIM, audit logs, domain management, compliance controls or a custom retention policy.

Do not buy Business only because the word AI appears in the plan description. Write down which AI features the team will use, who can access them and how much monthly credit use is acceptable. If project tracking is the main reason for the purchase, compare Notion vs ClickUp before choosing a plan.
